Our Commitment

Everyone plans a camping trip differently, and everyone should be able to plan one here. RV Rental Denver is built to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, and we treat accessibility as a build requirement, not a retrofit.

What's Built In

• An accessibility panel on every page, the circular button in the lower left, with text scaling, a high contrast mode, dyslexia friendly text spacing, forced link underlines and a reduce motion switch. Your choices persist between visits.
• Full keyboard navigation with visible focus indicators throughout, including the menus, search form, FAQ accordions and directory filters.
• Semantic HTML landmarks, labeled controls and ARIA attributes for screen readers.
• Respect for your system's reduced motion preference, independent of the panel setting.
• Text alternatives for meaningful images and decorative graphics hidden from assistive technology.
• Color contrast meeting or exceeding AA ratios in the default theme, with the high contrast mode going further.

Known Limitations

Google Maps embeds and the Google Translate widget are third party components with their own accessibility behavior, and campground photos sourced from Google arrive without alt text we control; we label them by campground name. Where a third party component falls short, we provide the same information in accessible text nearby, like the campground list that mirrors the directory map.

How We Test

This statement covers everything under rvrentaldenver.com: the rental pages, the campground directory and its maps, the guides, and the booking and owner forms. New features ship against the same checklist, and the standard applies on phones as much as desktops, including the floating action bar and its touch target sizes.

Accessibility here is a build step, not an audit we ran once. New pages get a keyboard-only pass before they ship: every control reached by Tab, every menu and dialog closed by Escape, focus visible the whole way. We spot-check with screen readers on the pages that matter most, run color contrast checks against the AA ratios whenever the palette moves, and verify that browser zoom to 200 percent leaves the layout readable, including our fit-to-width headlines, which scale rather than clip.

The Panel, Setting by Setting

Text size offers three steps and rescales the whole layout, not just paragraphs. High contrast swaps the palette for near-black backgrounds with high-visibility text and bordered cards. Dyslexia friendly text switches to a plainer typeface with wider letter and line spacing. Underline all links makes every link identifiable without color. Reduce motion stops the scroll animations and transitions cold, independent of your system setting, which we also honor on its own. Reset all returns everything to default, and every choice persists on your device between visits.

Using the Site With a Keyboard

Tab moves through navigation, search fields and buttons in reading order. The mega menu opens on Enter and closes on Escape, as do the language picker and the accessibility panel. FAQ accordions are native controls, so Enter or Space toggles them. The campground directory's filters are buttons, its search is a labeled field, and everything the map shows also exists in the card list below it, so nothing on the map is keyboard-locked information.
