The camper with a garage. Roll the dirt bikes, quads or sleds up the rear ramp, strap them to the tie-downs, and haul your whole weekend in one rig. The ramp folds into a patio at camp.

Who Rents a Toy Hauler

Moto families headed to Rampart Range or Taylor Park. Sledders pointed at Vail Pass or Rabbit Ears in February. Side-by-side crews doing the Alpine Loop out of Lake City. If your trip involves machines, this is the rig that ends the two-vehicle caravan and the trailer shuffle.

They rent as travel trailers and fifth wheels both, so the towing math from those pages applies here, with one addition: the garage payload. A pair of dirt bikes is manageable. Two full size sleds change the loaded weight fast.

The Garage, Used Right

Tie-down points are welded into the floor and rated for real machines. Bring your own straps or use the set that rides with the rig, chock the front wheels, and strap at four points minimum. Fuel rules matter here too: machines roll in near empty and vented, and every listing spells out its own garage policy. Read it, because garage damage is the one deposit conversation nobody enjoys.

Weight math

Listing weight plus machines plus gear plus water is your real tow number. Two sleds and a weekend of fuel can add 1,500 pounds. Do the math with us before you book, not at the scale on CO-9.

Camp Mode

Machines out, and the garage becomes a second room. Most floor plans drop a queen bed from the ceiling or fold sofas out of the walls, and the ramp door converts to a railed patio on many models. Generator capacity runs bigger in this class because these rigs are specced for off-grid staging areas, which is exactly where you'll be.

Where They Shine Around Colorado

Staging areas without hookups: Rampart Range Road, the Taylor Park basin, Vail Pass winter lots. Book a hauler with a strong generator and full tanks, and you're self-contained for a long weekend a hundred yards from the trail.

White Glove, If You Want It

Every rig on this page can arrive as a finished camp. Choose delivery at checkout and our crew tows it to your reserved site, levels it, connects power and water, and hands you the keys. Add a camp food package, rental bikes or a fire kit and the site is stocked before you pull in. Prefer the classic pickup and walkthrough? That works too. Two ways to start the same good weekend.

Quick Answers

Asked constantly, answered once, kept current.

Are my machines insured while they ride in the garage?

Your machines stay your responsibility, insured under your own powersports policy. The rental covers the camper itself. Strap everything to the rated tie-downs, follow the listing's fuel rules, and photograph the garage at load-in and load-out.

Can I haul fuel for the machines?

In approved containers, secured, and per the listing's rules, usually yes. Several haulers here have built-in fuel stations with pumps, which the listing will call out. Never carry loose cans inside the living area.

Do toy haulers work without hookups?

Better than any other class. Big generators, big tanks and big batteries are standard spec because staging areas rarely offer services. Confirm generator hours and fuel with us when you book, and mind quiet hours where posted.
