The campervan is the one rental class where ski season works well. Heaters that run off the fuel tank, insulated builds, and a footprint that fits a resort parking lot. Can I sleep anywhere in a campervan?
No. Cities in the metro regulate overnight vehicle camping, and trailheads post their rules. Where the van shines is legal dispersed camping on national forest and BLM land, plus standard campgrounds where it fits any site. Our crew shares favorite legal spots, and it's worth asking.
Is a campervan good for a family of four?
Usually not. Most sleep two adults, sometimes two and a small kid on a convertible dinette. For four or more, a Class C with an over-cab bunk costs similar money and camps far more comfortably.
Do campervans handle snow and ski trips?
