Chatfield State Park Campground
Littleton, Colorado · State campground · books through cpwshop.com, up to six months out.

Chatfield State Park Campground near Littleton is Colorado Parks and Wildlife territory. It sits about 15 miles south of downtown Denver as the crow flies, with Littleton as the nearest supply town on our board. It runs about 197 sites.
Campers rate it 4.6 of 5 across 7114 reviews on RVParks.us, our sister directory, where the photo sets and firsthand reports live.
Getting there is the easy part: the run points down the I-25 corridor and it's close enough that an after-work Friday start still lands you at camp in daylight. Traffic is the only variable that matters this close in, so mind the metro rush windows and the trip stays painless.
At roughly 5,501 feet, the season runs longer here than at the high country camps, and spring or fall trips stay comfortable long after the mountain loops close for the year.
Hookup-wise, Colorado state parks are the best-equipped public camping in the region, and many loops here offer electric or full hookups. Those sites disappear first when the booking window opens, so grab them the same morning if your rig or your crew depends on power. Water and dump stations round out the infrastructure.

Booking a Site Here
Reservations run through Colorado Parks and Wildlife, bookable up to six months ahead. State parks carry the best hookup infrastructure in Colorado, so the full hookup loops go first. A daily vehicle pass or annual parks pass rides on top of the site fee.
Pairing It With a Camper
From the Denver metro, plan on it as a close-in trip: it sits inside the delivery radius quoted on many of our listings, so a trailer can be waiting at your site before you leave work. Reserve the site in your own name first, then match the rig to the pad length and hookups. Our camper listings state length, tanks and power draw plainly, and we answer campground fit questions all day.
