Prospect RV Park

Prospect RV Park is a privately run RV park near Wheat Ridge, Colorado. It sits about 6 miles northwest of downtown Denver as the crow flies, with Wheat Ridge as the nearest supply town on our board.

Getting there is the easy part: the run points up US-36 and into the Peak to Peak country and it's close enough that an after-work Friday start still lands you at camp in daylight. Traffic is the only variable that matters this close in, so mind the metro rush windows and the trip stays painless.

At roughly 5,313 feet, the season runs longer here than at the high country camps, and spring or fall trips stay comfortable long after the mountain loops close for the year.

Full hookups are the default at private parks like this one, which is exactly why big rigs and long stays favor them. Expect power, water and sewer at the site, and ask about pull-through pads if backing a trailer isn't your favorite spectator sport. Wifi and laundry usually make the amenity list too.
